Today's "Chips of the Day" come from the "NEW CAL-VADA LODGE" which was located just off Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, on the north shore of the Lake. Originally opened in 1927 as the "La-Vada Lodge", this location became the "Cal-Vada Lodge" in 1935. The upper portion of that property operated as the "NEW CAL-VADA LODGE" in 1951 until finally closing in 1955 and became the "Bal-Tabarin" later that same year. Today's chips are considered their 3rd & 4th issues from the early 1950s. Enjoy!
