Casino de Herbesthal from Belgium.

Herbsthal has a changeful affiliation to Germany to Belgium ( German Reich- until 1918 and 1940-44, Belgium 1918-40 and starting from 1944). In 1935 the Government considering the geographical and financial situation of Lontzen-Herbesthal conceded to this country tolerance to open a Cercle de Jeux.After the reannexation of the territory the Germans closed the casino Lontzen-Herbesthal, in 1940. At the end of the war, the liberation of the territories automatically restored the situation of 10 May 1940- the casino has reopened. In July 7 ,1947, the Attorney General of Liège, decided unexpectly the closure of the casino.
