I recently posted a question asking about designing a rack of chips and if there were any guidelines that maybe casinos follow when designing theirs because as a chip collector, I see awesomeness in every aspect (mold, inlay, insert, colors...and so on) but ultimately my vision doesn't work entirely great for putting together an actual set.
I played around with the chip designing tool and came up with "a set" of six chips, each with a different mold, and two each of the same inlay but all with a variety of different edge spots.
I showed my wife and the first thing she said was that it didn't look much like "a set", and that I'd have to agree with so I changed tactics and decided to ultimately create two sets in one so I went with just two molds and each mold had three different inlay, and edge spots on one set were similar in the sense they were kinda a three spot design and the other set, kinda a four spot design.
I haven't yet made any final decisions but thought I'd get your input and relate it to my original question about guidelines that are followed when designing a rack of chips.
P.S. first pic is the first idea and second pick was to make them more of a set.
