I'll try to get this information as correct as possible. Ernie Primm opened this cafe in May of 1952 at 239 N. Virginia St.. The Gaming Table lists "Cafe Primadonna" as slots only. I don't find any other evidence of gambling here. Ernie began asking the city council for an unrestricted license for this location. It took awhile, but in 1955 the Primadonna, as we know it, finally opened at 239 & 241 N. Virginia St. Thought some might enjoy seeing this very early feature matchbook. Thanks for looking.
