Part of a huge trade I made with P. Marshall, of NOLA, at a chip show in Biloxi, 1998.

The only thing I can figure out is that it is American Indian art; where an Ivory chip was shaved to remove the engraving as was done on a silver dollar concho... and then the star and edge carvings which are perfectly spaced as described.
