Rex Club of Pittsburg, California

Anyone ever hear of it? As if California needed another REX, but it was for real. E. P. Thilgen ran the Rex Club at 75 E. Third Street in Pittsburg, according to the Police & Peace Officers Journal of the State of California, January 1948 issue - page 9. That must have been ONE BIG POLICE PAYOFF!

Look for Large Crown chips with script EPT on them.

An obituary from Theresia Grasser mentions "Mrs. E. P. Thilgen" as a surviving daughter.

Possibly E. P. is "Edward Philip" per the 1940 Census records:

Cannot find any other info on the Rex Club, so presumably it did not last for a very long time.

But everyone, complete your census form, because 50 years from now, someone may be looking for YOU!
