She (I have no idea who named it) usually gives me two or three blooms per Spike at each flowering though, this first flowering for the year she pushed out four buds... Not bad for a tropical plant that's been in low-40's to high-30's during bud development... though, that process began well before the seasonal change.
I've had this one plan for about 6 years and it usually flowers at least two or three times per year, while it did flower 4X a few years ago and kind of went into a rest period for a couple months, afterwards.
This one cultivar is also known to flower without the red spot on the lip with age and then having either a portion of red or full-blown red spot the following flowering. I have had as little as a speck of red on one lip or a blush on the lip in the past two years.
Though a beautiful bloom; no fragrance and kind of a short-lived flowe which lasts for about 12-14 days.
