Robert Eisenstadt noticed the mold. http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/molddesign_suits.htm#md31a
He shows a chip from Casino Estoril (Portugal) on that mold. The Gaming Table (2017) identifies the chip as being from 1968, and it seems to indicate that there were other colors.
My question for you all is whether any of you have ever seen a different Triangle & Heart mold chip? Was the mold ever used anywhere other than Casino Estoril?
I’ve been keeping my eye out for chips on the mold for a while, and I have not seen any. Only the above chip listed in the ChipGuide. None listed in The Chip Rack. I cannot find another one listed in The Gaming Table, although I may have missed something. The mold must be very obscure, as it is not listed in Howard Herz’s (1985, 1995) or Bill Borland’s (1988) list of chips molds.
If anyone has even a vague memory of seeing more chips on the mold, i would be very interested in hearing about it.
