On my way to the first chip convention at the Aladdin Hotel ... I came up through Laughlin to Searchlight into Boulder city and then Boulder Highway in Henderson this little shopping plaza had a coin dealer ... It was owned by an elderly couple that also owned the Boby motel next-door they offer me a cheap room ... I said no thanks I’m at the Aladdin ...
I asked if they had any casino chips? The old man pulled out a book and lo and behold 6 beautiful chips 2 from the Golden gate opening and 4 other chips from Binions Horseshoe stop at and the day before the convention I hit the jackpot ...this haul paid for my entire trip + A whole lot more! This is what it looks like today what a shame the bar is closed ... the coin dealer passed away but the Boby motel is still there if anybody wants I can get you a great rate for the convention... take care, thanks for looking Rich
