In the early 70s I remember buying a full box (100) of each of uncirculated $5 and $25
Desert Spa chips on the small crown mould from John Luckman at the old Gambler's Book
Club at Main and Charleston. I had them for many years eventually swapping them off. I
never valued them very high since I had 100 of each. I probably gave some away so they're
"out there". The linen post card says El Playtel and Desert Spa motels. I wonder what the
El Playtel connection is. I was surprised that scenes from "Five Against the House" were
filmed there. The movie was about Harolds Club in Reno and mostly filmed there.
