I remember going to the opening night of the Bonanza Hotel in 1967. I mostly recall the wooden
floors, cocktail waitresses dressed as Indian maidens, and the movie theater. I was shilling at the
Golden Gate downtown and most of their dice dealers went to work at the Bonanza enabling me to
make dealer. I'm sure there were many more postcards of gunfighters but I only have two. The
Bonanza was replaced by the MGM in 1973.
