Searching for any document(s) with this "CI" monogram.
The "CI" monogram would probably be connected to a casino or a casino group (operator) in the town of Royat, in France, during the period of 1872 through 1919...
Thus far; this "CI" monogram is known on two different casino chips, on the reverse and below the denomination. Its placement below the denomination seems to convey that it is possibly a notation of a guarantee which might be separated from the casino and only pertaining to the gaming operation... and, possibly, the sole property of whomever/whatever "CI" was during that period.
I feel that there is a very strong possibility that such documentation exists and possibly recently found.
I have checked with French casino collectors and historians who are completely unaware of this "CI" monogram which, strengthens my belief that it is due to it only appearing recently... and possibly because documents may have been destroyed in the fire in 1919 when the casino was burned down, or perhaps discarded or destroyed during the World War One years...
Some of the 100F Mother-of-Pearl chips are in Germany, where my example came from.
The name(s) of the casino(s) connected to this "CI" monogram are Casino Royat or Casino Chalet --- or variations of.
Any information would be greatly appreciated...
