Flea markets were held yesterday at both Long Beach and San Diego, but it was raining in the early morning hours. Took a chance and drove to San Diego, figuring the rain would stop by the time I arrived there, and my hunch was right. It was still lightly drizzling when I started my rounds. Numerous vendors did not appear but there were still a surprising number - and plenty of shoppers, too. At almost the first table I approached, my Casino Sense started going off. Yes, I have a Casino Collectibles Sense, like Spider-Man's Spider Sense, ever since I slapped a radioactive cockroach in my kitchen. "Ip . . . ip . . . ip-ip-ip . . . IP-IP-IP!" And there it was, a leather Imperial Palace keyfob!
The day was looking up - spotted some more chips as I rolled along - a few that were not in my collection. And then . . . my eyeglasses broke!
Next, things got dicey. But I managed to end up with some treasures regardless.
(Yep, Spidey got bitten by a radioactive spider and ended up with superpowers. Me, I slapped a roach and ended up with the ability to annoy everyone.)
