Made a trade with a chipper in the southwest US... we both mailed our packets (small padded envelope,
first class) on May 24th... my packet arrived in Arizona on May 27th - the packet headed here to Virginia
didn't show up. I waited a couple weeks then notified the other chipper... yesterday we jointly declared
the package as "lost" and he promptly mailed me a replacement chip.
So what shows up in my mail box this morning? You guessed it - the missing envelope. Only took them
19 days to complete delivery. Now I owe my trading partner another chip - and I have a new perspective
on the USPS... with the lengthy delivery problems they've been experiencing over the past year, I'm going
to dramatically extend the timetable for what I consider "predictable delivery" by the post office.
Just seems to be the way it is these days.
