As a young disc jockey I was often called upon to read the weather forecast during my on-air shift...
summers in central Virginia were usually quite predictable in those days and so the forecast often
sounded like this: "hazy, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon thundershowers - high today 95 -
overnight low 72 - high tomorrow 95"... it got to the point where I could recite that forecast in my
sleep - and it's still fairly accurate for this part of the country even today.
