I'm sure it is. Dempsey spent a lot of time in Nevada and even owned a home in Reno.
The SS was on 4th St. close by the site of the 1910 Jeffries-Johnson fight so I imagine
other fights were held there. The banquet room at the Mizpah is named after Dempsey.
