The phone books didn't have anything helpful
Several years ago there was an article in the CCTN about the history of gambling in Wells. The 8th page of the PDF, which was page 54 of the magazine, mentions that Rod Knight leased the Pequop Hotel and "ran the place under his name and dubbed his bar the Elbo Room." On the next page the article mentions that Rod Knight bought the Wagon Wheel.
Since he was apparently involved with at least two casinos, is it possible that he had the ashtray made without a casino name, so he could use it at both places? Just a thought...
