From what I know and have seen the Matchbook collectors take the matches out and display/store them flat in binders like this.
Now the Chip collectors like them full of matches and in original condition.
I’ve been told match collectors remove the matches to better see the book itself and having so many it can be a source of fire when traveling on an airplane and possibly illegal to travel that way.
So you decide how and which way to store and display them.
I saw a challenge coin display case full of them also with chips on the shelves as well on google search for matchbook storage.
