The Sheldon Smith Memorial SNCCC Report...

The Sheldon Smith Memorial SNCCC Report, September 2021

The monthly, 2nd Tuesday meeting of the SNCCC was held September 14th at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino. There were 34 members and guests in attendance and we had a wonderful meeting.

As is our regular practice, we conducted an Early Bird Auction at 6:45 pm, which included 22 Lots of gaming chips. A large portion of the Lots offered were of higher value and the auction was very lively, resulting in $511 in sales!

We received numerous Proxy Bids which resulted in sales of 8 Lots. Proxy Bidding works, and details to do so are included in each monthly SNCCC Invitation that goes out via email and postings on TheChipBoard and Facebook. To be added to the Monthly Invitation email list, just send an email request to be added to: Jim@GamingOre.com.

We regret that attempts to get a Guest Speaker fell through, but instead, we were treated to a presentation/discussion by our Tour Bus Guide, Rich Burgel, about the planned itinerary of our next Bus Tour. (Details will be provided later.)

The SNCCC Business Meeting was Called to Order at 7:48 pm, by Vice President Rick Lonski and Adjourned just 13 minutes later. During this time the Minutes of the August Meeting were read by the Club's Secretary (Jim Follis), the Club's Treasurer, Terri Lonski provided the Club's financial status, and the Membership Officer presented our membership count at 269.

This was followed a brief recap of Old Business and New Business, which included a discussion about catering 2 meeting before the end of the year. The December Meeting (Tuesday the 14th) will be one of those times. Look to the SNCCC Invitations for further clarification.

Membership Officer, Pam Focazio, recognized several SNCCC members that generously donated handouts to new member sign-ups at the Recruitment Table at the CCA Convention in June. Certificates of Appreciation were given to Rich Burgel, Tom Johnson and Rick Lonski. Additional recognition will be given at the October Meeting. At 8:03 the Business Meeting was adjourned and we conducted our regular raffle, which included a 50/50 cash prize award for the 1st number drawn. About 15 bundles of prizes were raffled off, all of which are from donated items to the SNCCC by members.

Lastly, we had about 5 sellers of casino memorabilia, which were provided with a table on a first come, first served basis. We thank Ron Gaudette for recording and broadcasting the meeting Live on Facebook. These recordings are available on the SNCCC Facebook page for viewing at a later time. Thank you Ron!!
