I think I'm going with Native American w/ this.

While some of you have suggested a Nation or two in the Northeast over the past 24 years, a third person told me a few months ago that they have seen at least two Morgan conchos with a variation of the edge while still having the same carving on both sides of the edge with the same total of notchings show up in the Soutnwest... but without a star.

The reason why I didn't fully accept it was Native American art, completely, was because of the shape/style of the star and that reason has been mentioned to me but I did not know the culture to put it all together and I did not want to offend anyone since I thought it was only an assumption back then.

Dale Seymour did code it and noted it in one of his articles after I made the trade with Philip Marshall at the '98 Biloxi show that Bob put on.

Also, as with a concho; it's obvious both sidesmand edge were shaved to remove the original graphic on the chip, whatever it was.
