Though there's a lot of history about the manufacturer; how far they go back and the name(s) they were known by and how, why and when they settled with the name CARO, in 1925; I'll leave that to the French historians and just continue to do my part in finding the sfuff from France.

One, thing I did notice when the stuff began to surface was that there were a lot of pieces with serial numbers 1, 2 and 3...

Anyway, I'd like to trade for this one or, maybe even sell it.

It's about 90 x 60 mm and in pretty decent shape. The drillhole appears to be choice, too, when compared to the one or two others I have seen and that could simply be that they did it after finding the lowest number... or whatever.

What ever that engraving is on the 0, I assume it's there for a reason and not part of the production, maybe?
