~~~ what all else might be either gold or bronze, and ruby; like what were used in the guts of a solid gold watch -- such as a '17-jewel' (ruby) watch with balance wheels and pivots which, probably means nothing since that's what they uses back then.
The case, chips and this had to have been in storage a very long time with very little use since the springs on each of the tabs flip with the slightest touch.
The end schregger (crosshatching) lines are the most exciting I have seen in the 30 years I have been selling Ivory chips... and the best part of all this is I just discovered this evening that the housing was Ivory under light and lens.
It will go back in the vault tomorrow and, I'll probably contact Gabe to list with them this Summer...
