Wm. Sharon was a US Senator and manager of the Bank of California which became the Sazarac
Saloon with the Sharon House on the 2nd floor. The Sharon House was one of the better restaurants
in Virginia City. I remember having dinner there in the 70s. They even had slots with their own
slot glass. Today the place is called the Ponderosa Saloon where you can get a pretty good hot dog
for $5.
