I think it would be interesting to have a recorded discussion via IG LIVE or ZOOM with the subject of copyright and ownership of
the material submitted to TCG... I think this would honor our mission and provide clarity on the subject. I would think because the
CCA owns TCG it should have a legal representative to set the record straight for everyone.
I wondered this myself after recent chat here... If I submitted an image to the guide in the past... Did I give up my rights to publish it myself
in the future? Do I now need permission from the CLUB or Guide to use it myself?
I don't want to give up rights to my images. Let's say I submitted an image... Does that mean I have to now
credit TCG if I ever use it again? Is this just a big gray area that is muddy?
Someone once asked me if they could pull my images from my ebay listings to use for the guide. I said fine... But did I give up my ownership
of all my ebay images forever? I think this is serious and needs to be clarified. We could use the opportunity to have the
subject explained as part of programming for the CCA.
BTW, It is hard to tell that CCA and the TCG are even connected. Look at both landing pages...One of the most valuable tools for the CCA is the TCG
and it is not even mentioned on the landing page of the guide... But there are links to take you away from our site to go to commercial sites not
related to us... Most people don't look at the details... but these details are more important than the headings in my opinion.
