Very nice collection of Avalon Club chips.
There is a strange mystery in relation to the Avalon Club. In the mid-2000s Paulson put out a high quality fantasy line of chips for the home market called Avalon Club, with a distinctive Pegasus hot stamp design (below). They used a new edge mold design, as they were no longer using the TH&C mold for the home market.

Other than admiring the design, I never thought much about it until I saw the below 1960 Burt Co. order card for the Avalon Club in Emeryville, CA, posted on the ChipGuide in 2020.

The Avalon Club chips on the order card have never been seen, as far as I know. They would be Diamond mold or TH&C mold. The really strange thing is that they have the same image that was used by Paulson 50 years later. It is not just the same idea, but the almost the exact same image, even with the embellishment under the horse. It can't be a coincidence, but using Google I can not find any connection between Pegasus and anything called Avalon. If anyone knows of a connection, please let me know. There has to be a story behind this. I'm really hoping someone knows.
