I usually have good luck at Long Beach and decided to check it out this month before the Moon played its peek-a-boo with the Sun.
Some unusual items such as the r$1 roll of nickels from Harolds in Reno. Odd that someone collected them but never opened the wrapper. Gotta admit, I am an absolute sucker for little skateboards on key fobs! Probably would have bought the Dave & Busters item even without a gambling connection. You just drop it on your stairs and wait for Dad to come down for dinner (preferably smoking his pipe) and . . . yaaaaahhhh! Gives a whole new meaning to ":Busters."
In the chips and tokens department. someone had a baggie of JOE chips for sale. He knew nothing about them, nor did I. His wife said, "Just buy them and stop talking so much!" Now there's a lady who knows how to close a sale.
Lastly, the cool Elks Club San Diego 100th Anniversary dollar coin. Not sure what it was used for, maybe to buy a packet of Elk Food for the critters? It wasn't cheap. Cool flea market stuff rarely is. Oh, and of course, 80 years of George Burns at he Sahara, in purple no less.
