Interesting thing there is an anime called Initial D that the main character's name is Takumi. There are more Japanese cars that make references to Takumi, but I'm not sure how many people actually outside of knowing the anime know about it.

Takumi drives a Toyota AE86 and this show is known for drifting and touge. Interesting show, I myself have never watched it.
