... appears to be alive and kicking… Wikipedia says chess is known
as “the royal game” and was likely adapted from an earlier Indian
game called "Chaturanga" in the 6th or 7th centuries. According to
a recent Google search, there are Checkmate Chess Clubs in many
locations around the United States: New York, Illinois, California,
Michigan, Ohio and Maryland to name a few… there’s also an online
Checkmate Club for digital chess enthusiasts… no telling which
(if any) one of these clubs may have commissioned this chip.
