Fred the Pike has gone through some pretty amazing transformations in the past years, went from the hay day you know of to more of a carnival booths in mine and then got really bad with bums hanging out everything closing and even businesses boarded up on ocean blvd. In the last 20 years it has been slowly being rebuilt into a small metropolis and high rises going up it seems every month, with studio condos etc. Going for $500,000 each. The Pike now has restraints a ocean boardwalk clothing stores, an Aquarium, theatres, parks, ponds, it’s really quite nice and fairly upscale and the Convention center etc.
The rides are gone but there is a Ferris wheel more for an occasional person or couple wanting to just get up high to see the surroundings.
Whole different ball game now. You should go have dinner there and walk around and go to the Seashore Village and Aquarium. You could spend a long afternoon there.
