Drove 2-3 times a year to visit my Brother in Laughlin. The shortest route from Arcadia, Ca. was thru Amboy, on route 66. Town had a gas station and a small post office. Pop. 6. Always stoped for a cold drink, the nearest other gas station was 40+ miles. I always found tourists from Europe. They purchased Route 66 stuff. I think it was famous from the TV show w/ Martin Milner Rte. 66. They took pictures of the Rte. 66 sign. The gas station was open 7-8 am to 6-7 at night, but had a sign on front door call this number for gas if we are closed, will come down in 5-10 minutes. Now thats service.
