The Rainbow and Monterrey clubs were next door to each other, with a driveway in between. Each club had 35 tables, the maximum allowed under Gardena city ordinance.
Being next door to each other, it was effectively a 70-table poker room, which made it the largest in the city. Most of the time those clubs were Draw and Lo-Ball poker only, though in the last years, they had additional games.
Poker was time-collection every half-hour, with most games self-dealt by the players in the Draw & Lo-Ball era. Seems like a long time ago!
