Here's a theory about the Hooter's obsolete chips regarding the Las Vegas property that's now OYO. I think it's possible (likely?) that there may NOT be a redemption notice for the Hooter's chips. (It's only my theory; I have no inside information.)
First, the Casino within Hooter's was operated by Paragon Gaming. They were the ones approved by Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), as I understand it. Paragon continues to operate the casino within OYO, under contract. This explains why the colors & inserts of Hooter's & OYO chips are the same. See:

Paragon may have substantial $$ of Hooter's chips floating out there -- maybe $10,000? $50,000? More?
Anyway, if they post a redemption notice, they may have quite a few excess inventory chips flow back in to the cage, as is happening with Hard Rock chips. Since Paragon issued the Hooter's chips in the first place, they may continue to operate as OYO without doing a redemption.
What do you think?
