Just to throw more info into this interesting discussion, I was at the Venetian on opening night and just bought a stack of 20 from the cage. It contained 2 of the mold errors. Maybe pre-culling? In the ensuing weeks, I saw at least one error chip on eBay and the seller evidently had no idea it was an error.
