To anyone sending or waiting to receive anything from me, Houston is in the middle of a mail shutdown after last week's storm destroyed a giant mail sorting facility in north Houston.

I understand not delivering the mail if they don't have any, but they aren't collecting it either. After a week of a bunch of enveloped sitting in the box, I took them to the post office. I'm not sure if they are just sitting their (I suspect they are).

Businesses in Houston are losing their minds as checks and important shipments are not moving. The USPS is also being super cagey about what is the deal. City officials ordered the head of the USPS to show up for an inquiry into the problem and a status report and they flat out refused and stood them up.

Its frustrating that we can't get some answers and a possible time line.
