How-Dee!!!!, just a great way of saying hi; a really warm greeting, presented by Nashville's Minnie Pearl. I have been watching the great documentary of Country Music over the last week, by Ken Burns on PBS. It should win an Emmy. I digress, today's post is all $1 chips at face value. Also, I am offering up the South Dakota sets up again, one more time. Take a look at these and let's make a deal. Thank you for opening my post today, Reggie

Please remember, when you are trading with fellow chippers, or buying from a chip collector or dealer; to let the person you received chips from know that you received them. That should happen the day you open your shipment and verify its contents. This is especially helpful to the shipper when the package (chips) is sent international. It is impossible to predict or guess when delivery will be made.
Also, put a little blurb in your short message to the sender concerning the condition of the package/chips. That helps shipper know that his shipping methods are adequate.
Sometimes, we all forget. Sometimes we just do not know it is customary to do so. Sometimes we are just learning about this crazy hobby.

Reggie, first let me say I made the harvest, at least the ones that were available, there were no GO chips. The place overall was a disappointment. I left home at 5 PM Friday got there at 7:30. walked in. Everything I saw looked familiar to Diamond Jacks. They had a line set up just inside to help out with the slot cards, since it was fairly short got in it, I noticed they had the red and blue level playing card, there are 4 levels, found out my drivers license was expired and had been for 2 months, but the person behind the counter accepted my retired military ID card, as I was getting my card, mentioned I was a collector and if possible could I also get a blank one of each of the 2 she had, that was one of the good things about my visit. Then I made my way to the cashier cage to check on the chips told cashier what I was looking for, at that point one of the casino hosts assisted me by taking me to a blackjack table, not enough $1 there, but he stayed with me and then took me to roulette table to buy the $1 chips, now that was a pleasant experience. As I said when I walked in I thought I was in Diamond Jacks. with the exception of name change, chips and player cards and a few employees everything else is the same all the same slot machines. Oh by the way went next door to the Ameristar, picked a couple of 2.50’s, hoping I could get the variety with Vicksburg, MS on the bottom edge, but they both were the ones with Vickburg, MS up off the lower edge and to the left of the $ sign. Also I forgot to tell you I won enough at Waterview to pay for the chips. came home with $3.45 in my pocket more than I left home with, if you think any of this if worthy of a harvest story, please feel free to edit and use.

BY COINCEDENCE, I AM WRITING THIS AS HURRICANE MATTHEW IS DECENDING UPON THE FAIR CITY OF JACKSONVILLE. WHEN WE WENT TO BEST BET YEARS AGO, HURRICANE SANDY WAS DESCENDING ON THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF THE USA. WE WERE ON A TRIP TO SEE NANCY’S COUSIN IN CHARLESTON. WE SPENT THE DAY IN A HOTEL IN CHARLESTON, SC; WHILE SANDY PAST AND MOVED UP THE COAST AND DID OUR VISITING THE FOLLOWING DAY.
TRYING TO FIND THE BESTBET WAS A LITTLE TROUBLESOME, BECAUSE WE BELIEVED WHAT OUR GPS LADY TOLD US, GOT LOST; BUT EVENTUALLY FOUND IT.
WE WALKED INTO THE BESTBET AND IT WAS BRAND NEW, NOT SURE HOW LONG THEY HAD BEEN IN OPERATION, IT WAS A WEEK DAY I KNOW, AND THERE WAS A LADY SUIT AND MAN SUIT STANDING IN MAIN AISLE WAY OF THE CARD ROOM TALKING AND WE WALKED TOWARD THEM JUST GAZING AROUND LIKE A COUPLE OF YOKELS IN OFF THE FARM. THE YOUNG LADY SUIT ASKED IS ANYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU? NANCY SAID YES THERE IS, (BECAUSE THERE WERE NO SLOTS AND SHE WANTED TO GET ME OUT OF THERE BEFORE I SAT DOWN AT ONE OF THE POKER TABLES) CAN WE BUY SOME OF THE CHIPS THEY ARE PLAYING WITH ON THE POKER TABLES. I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS A CHIP COLLECTOR AND THAT I WAS A MEMBER OF THE CC-GTCC CLUB INTERNATIONAL, THAT I TRADED CHIPS WITH PEOPLE ALL OVER THE USA. I ALSO, MENTIONED THAT YOUR LITTLE PIECES OF CLAY ACT AS AN ADVERTISING WHEN I DO THAT. THE YOUNG LADY SAID, I UNDERSTAND HOW MANY WOULD LIKE? I TOLD HER AND SHE WENT TO THE CASHIERS CAGE LET HERSELF IN AND BROUGHT ME BACK $100 WORTH OF THE BESTBUY CHIPS UNTOUCHED AND NEVER USED. THIS YOUNG LADY IN THE SUIT WAS THE OPERATIONS MANAGER OF ALL THREE OF THE POKER ROOMS THAT BESTBET WAS A PART OF, WHICH ALSO INCLUDED THE POKER ROOM AT ORANGE PARK AND THE POKER ROOM AT ST JOHN’S GREYHOUND PARK. YES I GOT ENOUGH CHIPS…REGGIE
