Re: Is the term "CCA" benefiting us ~~~

I pushed very strongly for the CCA name not because it tells everyone that we collect chips but because it is much easier to tell someone what we are interested in. In my opinion it was simply the best of all possible names. Also it was pointed out that the "association" part of the name would make it easier in the future it apply for grants since it is much better than being a "club" when looking for money. The official club name tells everyone what we do but it is just too unwieldy. No one has a clue what the CC>CC is all about.

Has the new name made a big difference in anything? I am not sure.
