~~~ the slowdown begins once it hits our shores. Even here, on the East Coast; it takes for ever to get out of the NY area where it moves on to CT, for a day or two and then South to Florida where it makes a few more stops. My fastest ever from France to 33411 in FL, was less than 24-hours... and that was in 1992...!
