Buying the drink card is pretty much a waste of money unless you REALLY like to drink. The problem is that in order to get the card BOTH members of your room have to get it at about $50 per person per day. Of course I always sneak my pint travelling bottle on in my regular luggage and buy a 12 pack of soda for mixers at the first stop. I make drinks in my room at night. We just got back from a two weeks cruise and ours total liquor bill was well under $300, mainly for beers at lunch and bottles of wine at dinner.

One note on tours - there is nothing in Sitka Alaska. I know because 10 years ago when Cindy got C-dificile and we had to get off the boat so she could spend a full week in the emergency room at the hospital I was stuck in Sitka with nothing to do. I know every square inch of that useless burg.
