Possible new variant from 500 Club (need to check my own albums) - Game-On but cards not below the 500 logo? California Grand, $2 - some are dull red, some glow when held under a sunbeam poking through the oak tree behind the casino. Returned to River Rock for a few more chips. Then on to Twin Pines, no new chips but new player's cards.
$25 Yosemite Anniversary chip from Chukchansi - finally was able to get two of them. They came out in 2014 just before the Great Indian War that closed the casino for over a year. Won a $135 jackpot on Lucky Horses and Horseshoes, then ate at the buffet. Came out, wanted to use the men's room. Entire area roped off, casino personnel frantically pouring baking soda over the carpet, trying to clean up vomit. Truly gross! Had to find another men's room, quick. From now on, that casino will be called: Upchuk-Chansi.
On Sunday morning, I went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. $15 to park in some farmer's bumpy dirt field, another $15 to get in, and food items were all overpriced. Walked around a bit, bored and had a bad feeling about the whole place, so I left by 11 AM. Bus driver taking me back to the parking lot/field was surprised I was leaving so soon. When I got home and read the news online - I was glad I did!
Never going to any "Festival" again!
Found a couple of matchbooks at California Grand and Twin Pine - anyone interested in them? Jay Pike?
