I worked down the street at the Eden Roc Hotel on Collins Ave. Miami Beach.... 1970 Hugh Hefner purchased the Hilton hotel and spent $15 million remodeling it as the Playboy Plaza Hotel. There was a ballot for legalize gambling in Miami Beach and speculation was big on it getting approved all the big hotels had large convention rooms is easily converted into casinos. I had a few friends working in the cabanas in the pool and I got the tour of the place and act like a big shot as a kid here are some photos of what could’ve been a nice casino hotel thanks for reading my post.
