It's far cheaper to get a collector specific policy, I used Collectibles Insurance Service and they wrote a policy that was less than half what Allstate wanted to add onto my existing homeowners policy. Plus the insurance policy covers all shipments to and from my location, any items I take to shows or club meetings, etc. Has two limits, one for total catastrophic loss and a lower loss for theft. Shipping coverage is full policy value for any service with signature required EXCEPT for UPS, they will not cover ANY shipments via UPS. Lower $200 coverage for USPS if not registered mail. Been using them for several years now.
