Through a bunch of paperwork this morning after reading your question. I don’t seem to have any info on those chips. (No card) I am going to say they might of been the same club you show (H&C chips) just earlier chips. If there isn’t any evidence to move or at least challenge the ID...it should remain in Santa Rosa.
However... there are a few Joker Club(s) that need some help...
The orange Joker Club / MB chip is attributed to Martinez, Ca. Not true it was originally sent to Sacramento. Then there is a note on the card that says Sold to Harry Wong Co(care of) Suisun Target Club.
I am not sure if the chips made it to Sacramento and used there ...or rejected and then sent to Target Club. I do know the Target Club was burnt down in the 50’s and rebuilt...there must of been more than one order of chips (original chips say Target Club)Also...the actual owner of the Target Club was Frank Barty and the dealers name was “Dutch” Mashburn. It is a stretch and probably only a coincidence that the MB is on the chips.
Across the street The was The Mint Bar... later called Miss B’s Mint. I know they played cards there and the Grandson still has the chips...he doesn’t share well though. He told me that they had dice with JC on them, so I assume the chips are JC too? I need to revisit after convention.
I hear the Joker Club in Sacramento was in the Bo Jangles Bar/Club and ran by Mel Wait. (Mel/ Bo Jangles?) another stretch....only a rumor. I didn’t research it. And can’t confirm any info......
So...the Joker Club /MB chips are still somewhat a mystery.....but I would bet they were never part of Martinez and Mountain Bar?? I can show you how easy to make up an ID(next post)
*****The yellow chips were used at the Martinez location. ****
The MB is written in red...so I believe it was part of the original order. The Harry Wong part is written in green. Harry Wong only ran the games in the club.
