My copy of TCR only shows one $1 chip from the Wild Wild West...the Chip Guide shows the same thing. A $1 chip with a blue star on the inlay.

I have 2 $1 chips, and the stars aren't the same color. Is one faded? Is it just a color variation from a different run, so it doesn't count as a different variety? Should I just throw it in a drawer and forget that I noticed the difference?

The difference is more distinct in person...the one on the left has a more purple tone to it. My scanner is great at hot pink and hot orange, but it's not so great on purple.

Any opinions???

Example of what my scanner sometimes does to purple...the Showboat chip has purple inserts, not blue...
