I went to 2 markets/Faires. 1 was mostly a food and vendors selling clothes, tools and other things. The other was a flea market that had people selling mainly house hold stuff...nothing casino related.
I went to a collectibles store in Valence....the guy had stamps, coins, post cards.....but firmly said no chips/jetons. (Rudely...I thought) Nothing Casino related.
Also went to a few antiques stores....nothing. I researched this town that was supposed to have 80 antique stores. It was almost 2 hours away and the wife needed the car for work that day. I specifically read on this on website that the stores were closed Monday and Tuesday. (I think it was reviews I was reading)
So I mapped out my route using public transportation.
A train €50 (for round trip)
A bus to the next little town €3 (each way)
So....I take the train and run to catch this bus....#6.... but find out it is not the bus I need . Luckily I didn’t get on it. I find I need bus #6 from the bus station..not from this stop.
I go to the bus station and the next bus doesn’t leave for 2 hours. The antique town is 12 km away. I can’t wait that long because lunch is from 12-2(sometimes longer) and then I only have 2 hours to shop before I need to get back for the train. (Dinner plans)
I decide to take a taxi....the guy says ..oh about €25....it was €51+...OMG....I have €100 into this trip so far.
So...I start walking to all the antique stores....1 after another....they are closed. It is about noon....closed for lunch??
I asked around a bit.....every antique store in the town is only open....Friday, Saturday,Sunday and Monday. NOTHING was open.....I was like where did I go wrong? I know I read they were only closed Monday and Tuesday. Well....that info was wrong.
I did find a train station to go back to the other train station for €5... at least something positive. And I got to explore the other town a bit before catching the train back to the hotel. Oh Well.
And these were just a couple I took pictures of.
