I hit the road at a few minutes before 9am. Today's run is all the casinos between Albuquerque and S#|+ and Shineola (Espanola) New Mexico. More on that quaint tourist mecca later. Today's Path is only 97 miles, a little over 2 hours straight driving time, but with 8 casinos to stop at, taking about an hour each, plus one side trip, it's gonna be a day!
Sandia Casino
Players Club gives option of Table Play instead of slot play. Do I get the two $5 free Play chips, or play yet another slot machine? Hmm, If this is the most difficult decision of the day, I'm gonna have fun.
Nice big casino. Poker room, only had 1 table open, but I was there before 10am. Sign for the room said Poker and Keno, but I couldn't poke my scooter in far enough to check out the Keno. Nice good sized slot area closed off in a separate room for the non-smokers.
Lost 1 won 2 at $5 BJ. Cashed out, kept $31 in chips + the two free play chips.
Santa Ana Star Casino
Slot club gave free prize drawing instead of slot play, Big Whoop. Whatever. But they had a "ribbon" instead of a bungee, that will be much more useful for other things.
Played BJ won 2 or 3 lost 2 or 3. Walked with $18 cash + $31 in chips for my Buy in $50.
Hate to admit it, but I got lost in the damn place. Quite embarrassing for a Las Vegan as we instinctively know how to navigate out of a casino. (Find a wall and hug it 'till you hit the door.) I had to ask a Security guard for directions to the elevator I'd come up in, by way of the hotel part of the building. Came in that way because there were all sorts of neat Handicap Parking spaces there, and it looked like a casino entrance...Security guard Lorna was quite nice and literally walked me all the way out to the door.
