Arizona New Mexico Trip: Fort McDowell

It's a bright happy day!
Yeah Right... After 2 hours to pass out asleep without any pain medication, my hip and my back woke me up after 6 hours. I hurt almost as much as when I went to bed.

Today's trip is a bit shorter than yesterday's marathon, thank goodness. Only 3 casinos to hit and one planned view spot to stop off at. 252 miles almost 5 hours drive time through mostly mountain roads. I don't drive fast on mountain roads due to a little problem with balance, from an old head injury. I start getting dizzy if I go to fast or if they are too windy (twisty, not breezy). I'm figuring with the stops (each casino seems to take about an hour) 9-10 hours on the road.

Fort McDowell Casino

Little bit of a dive, they're putting on a huge addition. The entrance I went into put me in the Bingo Hall. It's huge! It's a cavernous barn. They only had a couple of tables open. I lost a couple of hands @$5 per hand with the side bets going down too. All different $5 chips on the tables. Hold'em for Heros, [Series 7, on the Chip Guide]. Hardly any duplicates at all were given to me.
Slot club sign up I got $15 in free play, for coughing up my email address. I've been paid less for it ... grin Took the free play to an old fashioned 25 cent Vid Poker machine, single hand at a time jacks or better, As I'm trying to rack up the "wins" to get cashable money from the free play dollars. Silly machine kept giving me 3 kings grin Finally it coughed up with a full house! Actually cashed out with $12.50. That helped a lot with keeping all the $5 chips. Don't know why I didn't end up with a $1 chip from here.
