Living in Texas finding vintage Casino items locally is next to impossible to accomplish. I have even struck out at the once a month Texas largest flea market at Canton. I can usually find a couple items at the twice a year Roundtop Texas event. This week I got lucky on my search for Thunderbird items and as usual Ebay was my go to place. I know, you say, everyone buys stuff there. Normally if you are looking for chips you go to Collectibles - Casino - Collectible Casino Chips - then start your search. I like to also look to see if someone has placed their listing in the wrong category. I found 2 Thunderbird Pat Foust chips in the Postcards - U.S. Cities & Towns - Nevada section. Both chips were listed together for a starting price of $39.99. These chips were the only Casino items seller had listed. ( The Foust chips were different varieties and I needed both ) I placed the minimum bid of $39.99 that night and waited for auction night. A few seconds before auction ended I put in another bid a little higher but it was not needed as I bought both chips for the starting price. I received chips today and could not be more pleased with my purchase. Had it not been for lot being listed in wrong category I would never have been able to add these chips to my T-bird collection. No telling what price would have ended at if chips were listed correctly. There are still bargains to be found so good luck in your search.
