I remember a few of those POS floormen and boxmen. They took great pride and serious responsibility in destroying those chips like they were DEA and had a pound of coke in front of them. On the dice table a few of them would place the chip on the slot to the dropbox and then use the paddle like a hammer to break it, making a big production out of it. Whenever I'd find one, I'd put it on the top of a stack in the back of the bankroll but inevitably I'd come back from break and it would be gone. I'd ask what happened and would be told that they had to be destroyed. I started putting them one chip down so they weren't noticeable.

I was so excited the night I saw the $1,000 error. I kept my eye on it as it kept going onto the layout and then back into the player's rack. He kept winning his bets and I couldn't just switch it out while it was in action. He finally lost it and I snagged it and put it on the top of a stack in the back. I'm not exactly sure what happened next but I think I must have made a post on the chipboard.

I remember we talked and you were going to come buy it a day or two later but the table was closed. I asked the pit manager when that table was going to open and he wanted to know why. I reluctantly pointed out the chip to him through the clear cover. His immediate reaction was, "I wish you hadn't of shown me that." Luckily, he wasn't a POS and agreed to let you buy it.
