Went to legal with this one, attorney could see no reason why the casino wouldn't let a patron leave with a few chips if patron had paid for them.
My only guesses: 1 - the chips are Temporary ones, and are to be returned by the casino for some sort of credit against the real chips to be introduced shortly. Something like this happened, I think, at the Tongawa in Oklahoma with their green-inlay chips that Mr. McMasters (I think it was) tried to pocket.
2 - something is very wrong with the chips - they fail to meet the Proposition 65 standards. The casino knows it, and if any get out, the bearer can take them over to Sacramento to prove they are carcinogenic.
Just a couple of hunches. I will try going to the casino perhaps over Memorial Day weekend. I ain't afraid of no Mi-Wuk Indians!
