I really enjoyed my Ford Explorer as well, not black but teal color special edition. It’s been around, was my father then mine after his passing and lent it to both my sons at times and finally drove it the whole Route 66 to Chicago then to its final destination in Michigan where I dropped it off with my son who is an engineer now with Fiat Chrysler and after that I flew home. The Car was a charm it did everything, car, truck, you could even sleep in it with the back seats down if you wanted to camp with it. German engine and a French transmission and of course s lot of original ford components. I agree best toy ever, and I can see why a black one could get around as a possible incognito vehicle as well.
